Hello. I am e.n.d. Once upon a time I came from Minnesota. But then I moved everywhere.

Curiosity didn't kill the cat. Complacency did.

Someone told me, you found the monster inside of me.
The monster likes you…

El Bocho will always be my favoritewheatpaste street artist. The visual and the little notes he adds are both bits I love.
I’ve been lucky to catch his work multiple times while running or walking the streets of Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg.
Caught this one the other day on a long Autumn walk.

I love this city. I love street art. And I will be back. But for now, I’m looking forward to leaving. :)

“And miles to go before I sleep.” - Robert Frost

Mateo Dineen’s illustrations make me stand still in awe.
I found his card in my wallet yesterday.
I discovered his work at an art fair here in Berlin. I walked inside the venue, poked around others’ stands, turned a corner, heard the Red Hot Chili Peppers* blaring from a speaker and moseyed over to a booth full of color and characters. After a few minutes, I turned to who I assumed was the artist and asked where he was from. He came right back with: “Probably not too far from where you call home.”
He was right. He is an American too, from the Bay Area. We chatted about transitions, curiosity, our respective origins and departures from Minnesota and California, and of course, art and music. We agreed to chat more about expat bullshit and swap music.
I finished with something like, “I miss being a kid sometimes. And your stuff completely resurrects that imagination. Can’t wait to pop by your studio and check out more of your work. It is brilliant.”
That was nearly three months ago.
I’m going to finally make time this week to check it out. But for now, I’ve been staring at these pieces all evening.
I love people and I love their stories.
(*The RHCP track was Give it Away from Blood Sugar Sex Magik. I never forget a song).

A Sunday afternoon of work and Efterklang meant wandering over to their website and catching wind of the upcoming Berlin screening of Vincent Moon’s An Island.

This looks and sounds so beautiful and I just bought my tickets.

I finally saw Heima the other night.

It is a combination of both sweet and beautiful I haven’t seen on a screen in a long time. It brought tears to my eyes.

And I’ve been on a resurrecting-Sigur Rós-bender ever since.

Above is my friend Aaron. He made this. You should get on and play with the rest of us.
BOOYA.
